Posh, luxurious and very elegant; Martini is a classic! For a healthy happy hour, twist the good ol’ Martini with a splash of sparking water. Spike the concoction with fresh produce and herbs, and add a dash of ‘garnish’ glamor. Result: a good looking brew of everything Purdy!
A few recipes to get you started:
Ginger and lime’ale’
In this unique blend of flavors, you would need to prepare ginger simple syrup by boiling 1 cup water with 1 cup sugar and a few strands of fresh ginger. Refrigerate the syrup. In a cocktail shaker, add one cup lemon flavored vodka, half cup sparkling water and trickle down the chilled syrup.
Pour this finesse into 4 frosted martini glasses toppled with lime flavored ice and crystallized ginger roundels.
Zesty honey drop
A little zingy and very nutty, the medley is a glistening joy. Begin by preparing honey syrup by whisking together ½ cup water and the same amount of honey. Mingle it with a few drops of almond essence and allow cooling.
Shake together a cup of lemon juice, 14 ounces vodka or gin, honey syrup and 2 cups sparkling water. Pour into martini glasses rimmed with brown sugar.
Spiced mango
The right mixes of sweet and spicy makes this one a stealer. The very crisp recipe requires you to top the following ingredients with some sparkling water and ice:
- 60 ml mango rum
- 60 ml mango nectar
- 1 teaspoon grated ginger
- To make it more interesting, decorate the glasses with lemon wedges.
Lavendertini
Sounds tempting, doesn’t it? And believe me; the recipe does pretty much justice to its name. Begin by preparing simple syrup by dissolving 1 cup sugar in 1 cup water. Bring to a boil and sprinkle a tablespoon of dried lavender. Let it cool and strain the syrup. Mix together the following ingredients in a cocktail shaker:
- 2 3/4 cups vodka
- 1/4 cup creme de cassis
- 1 tablespoon blue curacao
- 1 cup chilled sparkling water
Simple syrup
Garnish the glasses with fresh springs of lavender and sip away to glory!
Peartini
In this awesome medley of flavors, you would need to get your sugar syrup right. One cup sugar and half cup water will be just perfect. Blend together the syrup with 1 cup vodka, ¼ cup dry vermouth, juice of 3 large limes and 2 peeled pears. Garnish with pear slices and serve chilled.
Even with these very sparkling recipes in place, make sure to serve your awesome creation in the right martini glass. Cheers!
