Let’s Take You to Our Source!

Did you know that for every bottle of Beloka Water you drink, you partake in geological history? This is because we source our mineral-rich water from the unspoilt Kosciuszko national park, where it is filtered through 500-million-year-old geological strata.

Beloka Water founder Joe Commisso first discovered the source of our pristine water in a large water aquifer under the grounds of his family’s property at the foot of the Snowy Mountains, outside Dalgety, near the region of Beloka.

The Snowy Mountains, known as “The Snowies”, is an IBRA sub-region and the highest mountain range in Australia. It contains the Australian mainland’s highest mountain, Mount Kosciuszko, which reaches a height of 2,228 m (7,310 ft) above sea level.

Unusual for Australia, the mountain range experiences large natural snowfalls every winter. Snow normally falls the most during June, July and early August. Therefore, most of the snow usually melts by late spring.

This snowmelt is exactly the water we extract and bottle just for you! It is certified as “Superior” by the Fine Waters of the World, an official testimony to our waters’ purity.

Our pristine ground water is the result of eons of subterranean snowmelt which Benedict Brook from news.com.au describes as “thick and full in the mouth with a powerful aroma and an earthy taste with a sodium kick.”

Today, to ensure the maximum freshness of our beverage offerings, we extract our groundwater and bottle it onsite. Moreover, only glass bottles are used to ensure that the water is as pure as nature intended it to be. Due to its full flavour, many restaurants and hotels serve our water to complement their menu.
