Another media outlet took notice of Beloka Water. This time around, The Monaro Post released a news article mentioning us and the massive Regional Tourism Fund.
According to the article, an announcement about the fund was made during a visit to Beloka Water at Dalgety by the Minister for Tourism, Stuart Ayres, and the Member for Monaro and Deputy Premier, John Barilaro. The event began with an inspection of the Beloka Water operation on Paupong Road and culminated in the unveiling of the new fund.
The fund is slated to offer operators two different programs, marketing and product development support, replacing the previous Regional Visitor Economy Fund (RVEF). It will benefit companies like Beloka Water, which is starting to grow in the global market.
“Tourism is going from strength to strength in regional NSW with the highest absolute growth in visitors recorded across regional Australia, up by 1.2 million visitors and 4.5 million nights. This fund will provide a welcome boost to our operators,” Mr Ayres said.
He added that the $13 million fund will be made available to 2019, an increased investment of $2.5 million into the regional visitor economy on a matched dollar-for-dollar basis.
